Pelican State CU's award-winning Financial Outreach Team is looking for a Credit Counselor to join the family! We're seeking a seasoned employee with experience in reading and understanding credit reports, presenting to small and large groups, and excellent member service.

Regular job duties may include but are not limited to providing counseling and recommendations after thorough review of the member's financial circumstances, managing the Financial Outreach Program members' action plans for increased financial stability and success, and educating members one-on-one and in groups through counseling sessions and financial wellness workshops. Counselors must be willing to teach financial wellness topics to people of all ages and backgrounds, as well as participate in community events and projects centered around financial wellness. This position will have a special emphasis on serving the Hispanic community. Spanish speaking preferred. You will be asked to give a short presentation during the interview process. Some weekend and nights are required. Home office can be in Lafayette or Lake Charles. Territory will be Lake Charles, Sulphur, and Lafayette.

All candidates who wish to be considered must have 3 years of experience in credit/general counseling and reviewing/analyzing credit reports. A 2 year college degree in social work, human services, financial planning, education, communications or a related field is required. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of education. Computer skills are a must. Candidates must be able to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and after hours or weekends when needed for events.

We are looking for a skilled individual to join our team as an HVAC Helper with at least 1 year HVAC experience. The responsibilities of the HVAC Helper include assisting the lead installation technician or service technician with the furnishing of tools, materials, and other supplies required to perform the a job to customer satisfaction.

To be successful as an HVAC Helper, you should have a strong working knowledge of HVAC systems as well as the tools related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of these systems. Ultimately, a top-notch HVAC Helper should be physically fit, good with their hands, and able to effectively follow instructions.
HVAC Helper Responsibilities:

Assisting lead install technician with the replacement or new construction of HVAC systems on residential and commercial properties.
Installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial units for heating and air conditioning.
Operating a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation.
Cleaning and replacing air ducts.
Following instructions for picking up and delivering parts, tools, materials, and supplies to and from the job site.
Ensuring all tools, materials, and equipment are in good working order.
Assisting with the Completion of preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and the associated equipment.
Coordinating with team members to provide excellent customer service.
Ensuring all HVAC systems remain compliant with industry standards and regulations.
HVAC Helper Requirements: * High school diploma or GED. (optional)

A minimum of 1 year of HVAC experience.
Completion of a relevant apprenticeship. (preferred)
In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and their inner workings. (optional)
Familiarity with all tools and equipment necessary for HVAC installation and maintenance. (optional)
Physical fitness and manual dexterity.
Ability to follow instructions.
Good communication and customer service skills.
